Valer has more than 15 years of executive experience in the digital publishing industry with a proven track record of leading projects and teams, data-driven strategy development and execution in digital media environment. He worked as a director of e-publishing at one of the biggest publishing houses in Slovakia, where he developed a leading news portal (www.sme.sk). He later worked as COO at Piano Media – a digital subscription company for publishing industry. Additionally, he was a co-founder of a joint industry committee for digital advertising standards and independent traffic measurement in Slovakia. He has been working with MDIF since 2013 – first as a digital media consultant and digital investment officer, later in senior positions. He is based in Prague, Czech Republic.
