Pluralis B.V. acquires majority shareholding in Gremi Media S.A.

Amsterdam, 21 November 2025: Pluralis B.V. today announced that it has acquired an additional 13.43% stake in Gremi Media S.A. from Central International Kft., an affiliate of Central Group, a leading independent media publisher in Hungary. The acquisition makes Pluralis the majority shareholder in the company, with a 56.82% holding carrying 60.62% voting rights. 

Pluralis, founded by a group of prestigious European media companies, democracy-supporting foundations and impact investors, invests in news companies that provide independent, quality reporting in countries in Europe where a plural media is at risk. It first invested in Gremi Media S.A. in 2021.
