MDIF is pleased to announce the addition of six new media organizations to its Amplify Kenya and Amplify Nigeria programs, which provide dedicated support to media and information companies working to strengthen their business models and test new product ideas.
Amplify Kenya, launched in April 2025, focuses on early-stage ventures, digital-first platforms and existing businesses pivoting to more sustainable revenue models. Amplify Nigeria is the extension of the final leg of NAMIP, MDIF’s flagship media innovation program in Nigeria.
Meet the new Amplify Kenya participants:
Blue Radio (Gilitics Media) is a Mombasa-based digital audio-visual radio station and Kenya’s only outlet dedicated to the blue economy, giving coastal communities and young people a platform to engage on maritime affairs and coastal development, reaching approximately 2.1 million people.
Mtoto News is a digital media company using technology to make children visible in policy, public discourse and decision-making through journalism-led stories curated by children themselves, reaching more than 200,000 people directly.
My Tech Story Africa is a digital media platform telling Africa’s tech stories through interviews on innovation, startups and careers across the continent, reaching an estimated 31,000-plus people.

Communiqué is a business media and intelligence company focused on Africa’s creative economy, serving industry professionals and organizations with journalism, research, events, advisory services and emerging intelligence products, reaching over 100,000 community members.
IDEA TV is a broadcast and digital media platform making science, research, innovation and entrepreneurship more accessible to students, researchers, entrepreneurs and policymakers, serving over 200,000 viewers.
NotADeepDive is an independent business and technology publication providing in-depth reporting and analysis for founders, operators, investors, and business professionals, reaching over 150,000 people through its flagship editorial and sponsored newsletter editions.
